How this site is built

No build step. No framework. No JavaScript beyond HTMX . Every page is HTML and CSS .

Frontend

  • HTML / CSS -static pages, no templating, no bundler
  • HTMX - hx-boost for SPA-like page transitions
  • Inter -variable font, self-hosted with metric-matched fallback

Infrastructure

  • DigitalOcean -Debian 13 droplet serving static files
  • Caddy -web server, automatic HTTPS, clean URL rewrites
  • Cloudflare -DNS and CDN, edge caching purged on deploy
  • Tailscale -zero-trust access to the server, no public SSH

Deployment

  • Terraform -infrastructure as code for the droplet, volume, and state backend
  • GitHub Actions -CI/CD, deploys on push to main
  • Bash -deploy scripts for site, Caddy config, systemd units, and secrets
  • SOPS + age -encrypted secrets in the repo
